Official State Soil: Mivida March 27th This is a photo of the layers that make up a Mivida soil profile. Mivida: Desert Soils. Layer 1: Soil surface contains little decaying plant matter. Layer 2: Clay minerals are starting to form in this layer. Layer 3: Rainwater does not regularly seep this deep, so lime accumulates rather than washing down and out. Layer 4: Lime in this layer makes the soil fizz when you add a little acid.
