Official State Soil: Orovada January 3rd This is a photo of the layers that make up a Orovada soil profile. Orovada: Layer 1: Thin soil surface with little decaying plant matter. Layer 2: Clay minerals are starting to form and accumulate. Layer 3: Rainwater does not regularly seep this deep, so lime and quartz accumulate rather than washing down and out.
