Official State Soil: Victory February 25th This is a photo of the layers that make up a Victory soil profile. Victory: Young Soils. Layer 1: Soil surface rich in decaying plant matter. Layer 2: Clay minerals are starting to form. Layer 3: Gravel-rich layer from "parent" material. It looks much like the whole soil profile did when it first began to form.
